Drones Can Be Hacked

A team of researchers at the University of Texas at Austin received $1,000 from the Department of Homeland Security after hacking into an airborne drone and wresting control from the pilot.

The researchers, headed by Dr. Todd E. Humphreys, got control of the drone by overloading it with false signals that were precisely matched up with authentic satellite signals — a technique known as “spoofing.” Once that happened, the drone ignored the original pilot, instead obeying the hackers’ every command.

Nokia and Microsoft are pinning their hopes on upcoming Windows Phone 8 devices. In the meantime Nokia is finally testing some success with its Asha series phones, which they hope will earn enough revenue to sustain them for smartphone battle.

Nokia Asha series, especially its touch based Asha 305,306 and 311 with faster processor, browser and free music and applications, is winning the hearts of first time smartphone buyers. Such is the success of the series that Nokia boosted its share of the basic-phone market to 35 per cent last quarter, largely driven by sales in emerging markets likePakistan, India and China.

Microsoft developing its own phone?

There is news going on that now Microsoft will introduce its own  smart windows phone.Separate Reports on WPCentral and BGR claim that Microsoft is developing their own Windows phone. A recent report in China Times also alleges that Microsoft’s smartphone will launch under the 'Surface' brand in the first half of 2013.

WPCentral reports that they’ve been in touch with anonymous sources that are saying Microsoft has their own Windows Phone hardware in existence and is currently in its testing phases. Details such as hardware specifications, appearance and launch dates are unknown, but sources say that the phone’s design is 'unique' from current Windows Phone 8 hardware.

This news is surprising, to say the least, because Microsoft has strongly pushed Nokia, HTC and Samsung Windows Phones in recent months. A development like this could point out to a drop in confidence in its mobile partners.Recntly Microsoft has introduced LUMIA series in

corporation with Nokia Mobile. They have not been successful yet.In Dubai HTC 8X has been released.

The HTC 8X and Windows Phone 8 are certainly extremely zippy and fluid and you can see that Arabic is now built-in along with a host of other languages. Some of the other apps I managed to check out included Maps, Microsoft Office, camera and pictures as well as contacts and calendar. Typing was also pretty awesome of whatever little I did on the device.
